How to Attend
WORKSHOPS AND PUBLIC HEARINGS
Suggested Input and Questions
Is this the first time attending a Workshop or Public Hearing?
WORKSHOP
Provide sign in sheets - sign in, especially if you want to be contacted for future workshops... Participate! Depending on the process, you will have chance to voice or write your choices or opinions....
PUBLIC HEARING
if you are there to speak, most have sign up sheets that you fill out so that you can speak to the issue/s.
EITHER VENUES
Staff will present the project and give recommendations to the the council, directors, or whatever venue you are attending (i.e city council, county supervisors, transit boards or whomever)
For Workshops: staff will present instructions to the group on how the workshop will be run.
TRANSIT and STREETSCAPE PROJECTS
Visit the Site/Area so that you can get an idea of where the project is and see the area.
Ask Questions if information is not provided by Staff:
How long will it take to finish the project?
Will there be alternative 'way finding' routes?
If so, will routes be clearly marked?
Will there be signage far enough away from the project to give people enough time to re-route?
If Streets will be blocked at certain times of the day, will notice be given through signage, media etc?
These are just some of the issues that need to be resolved before project begin.
