RT TO HOST TRANSIT MASTER PLAN COMMUNITY WORKSHOPS

The Sacramento Regional Transit District (RT) will continue its outreach efforts for the Transit Master Plan (TMP) – a new Transit Vision for the next 30 years – by hosting eight community workshops throughout the Sacramento region.  The workshops will focus on the funding elements of the TMP and determine transportation investment priorities, which are critical to the success of the plan.

Over the last six months, RT received valuable input from over 2,000 community members who agree that the vision for the Sacramento region includes a high quality and high frequency transit system.  RT is now seeking input to determine how to fund future transit services and improvement projects that were identified as important to the region.

Community workshop participants will have the opportunity to engage in an interactive exercise that will shape the future of transit in the Sacramento region.  The public is encouraged to attend a community workshop to learn about the TMP and provide input:
